Artificial intelligence (AI) describes the intelligence shown by any computer system and machine without the need of human input. Any device that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chance of successfully achieving its goals is considered to display artificial intelligence. AI is a broader term than machine learning, with the latter being a subterm of it.
